Privacy Policy

• Account information — your email address, password (stored securely via our authentication provider, never in plain text), display name, and whether your account is a student or society account.
• Society activity — societies you follow.
• Event activity — events you mark as interested in or add to your personal calendar.
• Messages — the content of messages you send to or receive from societies through the app's messaging feature.
• Engagement data — basic, non-identifying view and interaction counts on society posts (e.g. highlight views), used to show societies simple analytics about their own content.
• Society-submitted content — society committees may upload photos, videos, event details, and announcements, which may include images of individuals at society events.

We use the information above only to run the app itself:

• To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
• To let you browse societies, follow them, and view their events.
• To deliver messages between students and societies.
• To keep your personal calendar in sync with events you've saved.
• To show society committees basic engagement analytics for their own posts.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics/tracking services.

Your data is stored using Supabase, a backend infrastructure provider, following industry-standard security practices. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Your sign-in session is kept locally on your device.

We don't share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Society committees you interact with can see information relevant to that interaction — for example, your display name and any messages you send them, or your interest/RSVP for their own events. Beyond Supabase (our data storage provider) and Apple/Google (app distribution), we don't share your data with outside services.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time, including deleting your account entirely. To do so, contact us using any of the emails below.

FrontSquare is intended for university students and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

We may update this policy from time to time as the app changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
